Sales Representative


Vision Marine Technologies (VMT), a trailblazer in the electrification of marine vessels, is seeking a full-time Sales Representative to join our innovative team. The Sales Representative will be instrumental in driving the growth of our electric boat and propulsion systems by generating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a proven sales track record, excellent communication skills, and a passion for marine technology.


Vision Marine Technologies (VMT) is a publicly traded company in the boating industry located in Boisbriand, and is one of the major players in high powered electric marine propulsion, electric boats.

With a range of electric boat models and the development of its own high-power electric motorization, VMT establishes a position of leadership in its market while maintaining the agility of a human-scale structure.   • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve company revenue goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, highlighting the features and benefits of VMT’s electric marine solutions.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with company policies.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials and campaigns that drive customer engagement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote VMT’s products and services.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.

Desired experience

  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative or in a similar sales role, preferably in the marine or technology industry.
  • Strong sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate complex technical information.
  • Proficiency in CRM software.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be bilingual (English and French).
