The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout has a vibrant history that started in 1989 as a local boat race. Over the years, it grew into a celebrated event showcasing the fastest boats in the region. By 1997, it became the Lake Fire Rescue Shootout, uniting communities around the lake.
The Shootout's legacy is one of growth, camaraderie, and giving back to the community. In 2017, it marked a new era with a ¾ mile course, setting the stage for even more positive milestones in the years to come
