Vision Marine Technologies will be at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

A few days before the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which will take place from October 28 to November 1, Vision Marine Technologies announces its participation with much enthusiasm and has reserved its place at Booth No. 43 where its Fantail 217 will be in the spotlight. This luxury electric boat is perfect for navigation on Florida’s canals, lakes, rivers and bays. The Fantail 217 is also ideal for commercial use, as a water cab, for example.

Even more spectacular, the Fantail 217 is one of the most popular electric boats with its impressive autonomy on the water. By recharging this electric boat on a regular power outlet during the night, you will be able to navigate with complete peace of mind for up to eight hours uninterrupted the next day. All Vision Marine Technologies’ boats are environmentally friendly and require very little maintenance; they are easy to operate, and all models are certified by the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The Fantail 217 is the ideal boat in Florida, which has 1,700 rivers, 7,800 freshwater lakes and 700 springs. Only the City of Fort Lauderdale is crossed by a dense network of waterways and canals. The same goes for Miami and Boca Raton, among others. Florida is a state marked by the omnipresence of aquatic environments, which allows for recreational and commercial boating. Its coastline stretches as the crow flies for 1,930 km, and if you follow all the bays and headlands, you’ll get a cumulative distance of about 13,600 km! There are more than 4,500 islands along its coastline, and the Keys Archipelago, at its southern end, forms a string of coral islands stretching for more than 200 km, the largest of the islands being Key Largo (47 km long). In addition to this exceptional coastline, Florida is dotted with some 30,000 lakes, 7,800 of which are freshwater lakes.

Thus, the Fantail 217 has its place in Florida, not only for recreational boating, but also commercially. Since navigable waters are prolific in Florida, why not insist and develop more water taxis! The Fantail 217 is in a position to play this role right now in Florida, but also worldwide.

Finally, despite the health crisis, the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will take place this year. However, the organizers of this event have taken care to include all the necessary preventive measures for the occasion. According to Informa, safety protocols will include “complete disinfection overnight, electrostatic spraying with EPA biodegradable disinfectants and continuous sanitation throughout the boat show, with emphasis on high-contact areas such as door handles, bathrooms, and food and beverage areas. There will also be handwashing stations in the 3 million square-foot exhibit space, clear signs and floor markings to ensure physical distance, non-contact ticket sales and registration, and controls for pedestrian and vehicle traffic.”

In conclusion, Vision Marine Technologies is proud to participate in this event and will showcase its best electric boat, the Fantail 217. We look forward to seeing you at Booth 43 starting October 28th!
