Vision Marine Technologies (“VMT”), a public company in the marine industry, is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to join its technology team. Located in Boisbriand, VMT is one of the major players in Quebec working in the electrification of boats with an offer of 4 models of electric boats and the development of its own motorization.

Under the supervision of the technical director, the prototype cabler will be responsible for assembling our prototypes (pontoon, v-shape, race boats, etc.). He will be in charge of wiring the low voltage and high voltage electrical equipment of our E-Motion propulsion chain. This person will also participate in the design and construction of electrical test benches or test machines and will join the existing Research and Development team.

• Boat wiring according to plans and nomenclatures,
• Parts management, preparation of equipment and harnesses
• Organization of tasks and planning of deadlines
• Realization of test benches
• Commissioning of the E-Motion system
• Fault analysis and problem solving
• Participation in the drafting of reports
• Management of test result collection

Training and skills required

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of and resolve issues
• Attention to detail and precision are essential to successful performance

• Autonomy
• A high voltage electrical qualification would be a great asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel and Visio)
• Diploma in industrial engineering technology a great asset
• Have experience in electrical assembly
