Last August was the legendary annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout race, a competition that began in 1988 when citizens decided to determine who had the fastest boat in this part of the United States.
Last year, Torqeedo Outboard and Randy Vance won the race in their category ( MCCO1E1) while Randy reached 25 mph with his boat. This year, Randy Vance broke his record, with a Vision Marine Technologies boat reaching a speed of 30 mph!
Randy Vance is a yachtsman who has turned his passion into a career as a writer. Having operated a small resort and marina in Missouri for over 20 years, he has often been called upon to host and participate in radio and television programs related to fishing and water sports. He has tested several types of boats over the course of his career, and it was with the Volt 180 that he finally broke his record at this event.
The Volt 180, an incomparable finish and performance.
The quality of the materials offered by Vision Marine Technologies definitely places its boats among the most luxurious, but always affordable. Not only does the Volt 180 meet these characteristics, but its class is only equalled by its performance. With a top speed of 50 km/h, it remains unmatched on the market. Its electric propulsion uses the batteries of the BMW i8 and develops up to 80 horsepower.
Randy Vance has distinguished himself aboard this jewel and we are very proud to report his achievements. Good work Top Gun Randy Vance! Congratulations and THANK YOU!
